25. MC Hammer
- Formerly From: “U Can’t Touch This” Fame
- Currently: Preacher
- Net Worth: $1.5 million*
Although MC Hammer earned a lot of money, he also liked to squander it. He filed for bankruptcy in the 1990s, but he managed to recover, and today he is regarded as one of the founders of the pop-rap subgenre.
He turned to preaching after quitting his job as a musician. He had a television program called MC Hammer and Friends that ran on Trinity Broadcast Network in the late 1990s. Also, he created Hammertime, a reality program that ran for a limited time in 2009. He occasionally still puts out music, but his main priority is preaching.
26. Rick Moranis
- Formerly From: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
- Currently: Stay-at-home dad
- Net Worth: $10 million*
Thanks to Second City Television, Rick Moranis found comic success in the 1980s. He then went on to star in movies including Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Parenthood, and others.
Moranis is no longer active, though. As a single father who stayed at home to raise his children, he made the decision to take a back seat. Even two Ghostbusters reboots haven’t been enough to bring Moranis back to Hollywood, despite the fact that he has hinted that he could be open to doing so in the future. Or at least, that was the situation up until the unpredictable year of 2020. Rick Moranis agreed to star in the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel. He will play Wayne Szalinski once more.
27. Lisa and Louise Burns
- Formerly From: The Shining
- Currently: Lawyer and scientist
- Net Worth: Combined $3 million*
The scary twins from the Stephen King film The Shining made Lisa and Louise Burns famous. The Shining was based on a book of the same name by Stephen King. The Shining was a psychological horror story in the King mold. In the movie, Jack Nicholson played Jack Torrance, a struggling author who takes a job in a spooky hotel in a snowy part of the Colorado Rockies.
The Burns sisters, who operate under the handle “The Shining Twins” on Twitter, withdrew from public view after the WarnerBros film’s debut. Later, they claimed that Hollywood had “shunned” them. Both are doing nothing right now. Louise is a research scientist and Lisa is a lawyer, but they occasionally go to horror conventions.
