In the 1990s, Geoffrey Owens appeared on The Cosby Show. Also, he made cameos on a number of shows, including Lucifer, That’s So Raven, and Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Once the Daily Mail published images of him working as a cashier at Trader Joe’s in 2018, he gained notoriety.
Others came to Owens’ defense, pointing out that show business was cyclical and that Owens shouldn’t be subjected to job discrimination because she worked for the Whole Foods rival. He defeated Michael Moorer, who was half his age, at the age of forty-five to win back his title. Before he re-retired, he was the oldest heavyweight boxing champion in history. The Foreman grill’s patent is also owned by Foreman. He now works for HBO as a ringside analyst.
